Congratulations to Karina Schmidt, a second-year PhD student in the UW M3D Program in the Simpson Lab, on winning first place in the poster competition at the Institute for Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine’s (ISCRM) Annual Stem Cell Mini-Symposium on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

We also extend our congratulations to Jessica Ayers, PhD student, for delivering a compelling trainee lightning talk.

Next week, Karina and Jessica will represent the Simpson Lab at the SID Annual Meeting in San Diego, where they will showcase their research aimed at advancing therapies for patients with rare genetic skin blistering disorders.
